Woman in the mist, billowing
Silent as the clouds,
Her fierce steps hurt the earth:
For her dead children.
The silhouette of a bird
Frozen cold, eyes staring
Into green space
At the
Earth and Sky, in one breath
What mighty enemies, those two
Truth isn’t always bitter
Oh sweet calamity.
Eyes set in a wooden smile
She heads for the sea, one last effort
This dreary place holds hope
She knows this things
Beautiful. I especially love the line, “her fierce steps hurt the earth”
